Criminal Injuries Compensation
Maltese and European citizens are entitled to claim compensation for the criminal injuries they have sustained so long as such injuries were subject to criminal proceedings or reported to the Police without delay. Such compensation can be claimed either by the victim himself or by a dependent or other person if the latter has suffered any money loss or incurred expenses because of the crime sustained by the victim. This compensation cannot be claimed if the victim was responsible or partially responsible for the crime.
Crime Report
A crime report that does not relate to an emergency, or one in which there is no danger of loss of life. The report should concern a crime which has already occurred, and in relation to any damaged with a value less than €250 or stolen property with a value less than €232.94.
Follow up on a Report Sent to the Malta Police Force Department
Allows persons who have a pending filed report with the Malta Police Force to check the status and monitor their report.
Information Request from the Malta Police Force Department
Through this form, the general public may request information from the Malta Police Force. The information requested may vary from general knowledge to specific information about a case which relates to the applicant. The information provided by the applicant is then processed internally, and if it meets all the criteria set by the Data Protection Act, is granted to the public.
Police Conduct Certificate
Maltese citizens can obtain a Conduct Certificate by calling personally at the Criminal Records Office at the Police General Headquarters in Floriana, or else proceed to fill in the electronic form. On the day of collection, applicants must personally produce a valid identification document such as a valid passport or valid ID Card.
Public Collection Statement of Account
A promoter who was issued with a licence for any public collection must, within 5 weeks from the last day of the collection or the day on which the licence expires, in addition to the other provisions of the Act, deliver to the Commissioner of Police the statement made in the form set out in the Second Schedule of the Act, the information therein required and certified correct apart from other requirements in the same Act.
