Chileans abroad: what procedures can be carried out in the consulates?
The consulates are organs of the public administration of one State in the territory of another and their main function is to assist and protect the interests of their compatriots in a foreign State. In this way, all Chileans who are abroad can contact the Chilean consulates and request orientation, identification documents and certificates, among other benefits.
Blocking the identity card for Chileans abroad
It allows Chileans who are abroad to block their identity card in case of loss, theft or theft. In this way, the owner is exempt from liability to any misuse of the document by a third party.
