Asbestos policy aimed at reducing health risks
Every year, there are roughly 1000 asbestos-related deaths in the Netherlands. The Dutch government's aim is to have no new asbestos-exposure victims by 2040. The government is establishing regulations to minimise the danger of asbestos.

Asbestos can be hazardous to your health. That is why the Dutch government is establishing regulations governing its use and when it should be removed. For instance, the government intends to ban asbestos roofs as of 2024.
