Emergency links – states and territories
Provides emergency phone numbers and links to state and territory emergency and disaster information. Includes links to their rural fire service and State Emergency Service (SES) as well as police, fire, ambulance and alert services.
Triple Zero (000) – Australia's emergency call service
The Triple Zero (000) service is used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life threatening or emergency situations.
Australian Disaster Resilience Knowledge Hub
Provides research, resources and news relevant to disaster resilience and emergency management and includes statistics and information, photos, video and media about past disaster events.
Disaster Assist
Provides information on Australian Government assistance packages following a disaster. Includes up to date public information messages, relevant free call numbers and links to other related websites and information.
Emergency Alert
Issues warnings to landline and mobile telephones linked to the addresses (properties and houses) within a geographical area affected by an emergency. Warnings will also be sent to mobile telephones based on the last known location of the handset at the time of an emergency.
Natural disaster relief and recovery arrangements
The Australian Government provides funding through the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) to states and territories to help pay for natural disaster relief and recovery costs.
