Hong Kong people have embraced the concept of lifelong learning. More and more people are seeking to upgrade their academic qualifications for improving their career prospects, enhancing their knowledge, or simply to enjoy the fun of learning.
For further and continuing education, there is a pathway of non-local courses that are regulated through either registration or exemption from registration under the Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance, Cap. 493 (the Ordinance), which came into effect in June 1997.
