Indigenous school education aims at promoting the rights of indigenous peoples to school education, respecting their specific characteristics and learning processes, and recognizing and valuing the socio-cultural and linguistic diversity, autonomy and protagonism of these peoples. The actions that comprise this policy are: - planning, coordination and orientation in the formulation and implementation of educational policies that promote the right to education of indigenous peoples at all levels, stages and modalities of education; - support and follow-up of the implementation of the National Education Council guidelines on the education of indigenous peoples, and - promote and support actions to expand and improve school infrastructure, |
