These servers use the " Network Time Protocol " ( NTP ) to pass on the time information . The time standard is based on an atomic clock. For realizing and passing on the time unit, Cs atomic clocks are developed and operated as primary standards for time and frequency. In recent decades they have decisively influenced the international atomic time TAIas the most accurate clocks in the world , and they form the basis for the legal time in the Federal Republic. |
