Guaranteed Service Standards Scheme (GSS)
Through the Guaranteed Service Standards Scheme, the Water Services Corporation (WSC) pledges to provide a continuous supply of water to its customers. In the eventuality of a disruption in the water supply, the WSC commits itself to restore the supply of water within 48 hours in case of a suspension due to maintenance, and within 72 hours in case of a suspension due to extraordinary events.
Heat Pump Water Heater Grant
This scheme is to encourage the use of renewable sources of energy for domestic use.
New Water Access Card
For the benefit of agriculture and to improve the quality of the aquifer, New Water will be supplied free of charge, up to a maximum of 2,500,000 litres per half-hectare.
New Water Service (Form A)
To introduce a water supply in a premises not already supplied with water. There can only be one source of water in a premises and therefore if a water supply already exists, such an application will not be accepted.
Public Sewer Discharge Permit
Trades and businesses require a permit to discharge and dispose materials to the sewers and thus must be in possession of a public sewage discharge permit.
Replacement or Shifting of Water Service (Form S)
Shifting or replacement of the service connection to the water meter. The shifting of the water meter by a short distance perpendicular to the mains which does not require a connection does not involve a charge. When the shifting of the water metre entails a new connection, a charge equivalent to the fee of a new water service application is applicable. This application may also be used to change iron water pipes, in which case, the applicant must install an earth electrode before changing the service.
Test/Change of Water Meter (Form B)
An account holder may request to change the water meter either because it may be old or it could be stopped and not registering any consumption.
Water Meter Reader Visit Notification for Premises not in Regular Use (Form L)
An account holder may wish to be notified beforehand when a meter reader will visit to read the meter of a garage, store or house that is unoccupied or rarely used.
Water Service Removal (Form C)
Customers moving out of a premises or wishing to develop or demolish a site and who wish to disconnect water and remove the water meter may apply through this form. The service is free of charge, however the applicant will be required to settle all outstanding dues before the final bill is issued and the service removed.
