For each frequency usage, pursuant to § 55 ( 1) TKG, prior allocation by the Federal Network Agency is required . Content, scope and procedure of frequency allocation are regulated by §§ 55 ff. TKG. The allocation of frequencies shall be by administrative act, either as a general allocation published in the Official Journal of the Bundesnetzagentur or on application as an individual approval to an applicant.
Inter-departmental provision of IT services
On 1 January 2016, the Federal Office for Information Technology (BIT), the Federal Institute for IT Services (DLZ-IT) and the Center for Information Processing and Information Technology (ZIVIT) were merged to form the Information Technology Center Bund (ITZBund).
