Registration of travel information at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
If you are going abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs encourages you to register your contact information with them. Such a travel registration will make it easier for outsiders to get in touch with you in case of seriousness happening wherever you are. In a crisis situation, foreigners will be able to contact you via SMS or e-mail.

Order the European Health Insurance Card
The European Health Insurance Card officially documents that you are entitled to coverage of medically necessary healthcare in another EEA country under the same conditions as that country's own nationals. You should carry the card if you will be staying temporarily in another EEA country or Switzerland.
Passport applications
To apply for a Norwegian passport, you must apply in person by going to a police station in Norway. To renew a foreign passport, you must contact your home country's embassy or consulate in Norway.
