Issuing duplicate birth certificate	According to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, civil status acts are authentic state documents, confirming the facts and events that influence the appearance, modification or termination of the rights and obligations of the persons and their legal status is characterized. Duplicates of civil status certificates are issued to citizens on request and have the same legal value as certificates issued at the time of registration of the civil status act. They are released for permanent use and are not subject to any retention, except in cases expressly provided for by law.
