Application for assumption of national defence obligation
Estonian citizens with no national defence obligation can assume the obligation from the age of 18. The obligation need not be assumed by citizens who have this obligation already, for example by those eligible to be drafted to serve in the Defence Forces. In the latter case an application for commencement of performance of conscript service obligation must be filled in.

Woman’s application to serve in the Defence Forces
Women who are Estonian citizens, 18-27 (inclusive) years of age with at least basic education are able to enter into the service in the Defence Forces at their own request. In order to commence military service, an application to serve in the Defence Forces and to assume national defence obligations must be submitted to the Defence Resources Agency.

Application to be drafted to serve in the Defence Forces
Persons eligible to be drafted are able to commence military service at their own initiative. This is a good opportunity to knowingly plan military service as a part of your life and discharge your obligation to serve in the Defence Forces early on.
Application for substituting conscription with alternative service
Persons eligible to be drafted who refuse to serve in the Defence Forces for religious or moral reasons are obliged to serve in alternative service.
Alternative service location notice
An organization can notify the Defence Resources Board about it's participating in the alternative service program. The organization must mark it's field of activity as well as the number and type of places for alternative service conscripts.
