The Youthbuild Programme provides free classes to young people that teach useful skills that will help them earn a living and lead more fulfilling and productive lives. Please visit your village council where you can choose from a list of classes that are offered in your area. Schools or educational institutions that wish to offer Youthbuild classes should contact the Administrator at the Division of Community Development at the address below.

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs strives to ensure that stadia and indoor complexes are developed, operated and maintained so that residents, individuals and community groups have access to quality venues for sporting and recreation activities. The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs maintains a number of facilities that can be used for general training or sporting competitions.

The Sport and Culture Fund facilitates the provision of sporting and cultural activities in Trinidad and Tobago by providing grants and loans to deserving individuals, groups and organisations. Assistance will be given to ventures that are deemed by the Sport and Culture Board of Management to be of benefit to the community or the nation as a whole. An organization, group or individual that receives funding from the Board will be required to wait for a period of 24 months before seeking further assistance from the Fund.

The National Registry of Artists and Cultural Workers is a programme of the Ministry of the Arts and Multiculturalism that registers Artists, Cultural Workers, and Cultural Organisations and Groups and certifies audio, visual, and video productions. Proof of citizenship: One form of valid picture ID alongside Birth Certificate or valid Passport (For Individuals) or Copies of the organisation’s articles of association or incorporation / constitution or by-laws (For Organisations).
