Careers in Tourism
The Tourism Development Company Limited (TDC) provides information, seminars and guidance for those interested in a career in the rapidly-expanding tourism industry. The TDC has a booth at most career fairs and tourism-related trade shows in Trinidad and Tobago. Educational institutions or career fair organisers can contact the TDC by phone, email, mail or in person at the following address to arrange for a career information seminar.
Labour Relations and Conflict Management
Labour Relations and Conflict Management. The Conciliation Unit of the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development is mandated to manage labour conflict in the country in general and in particular, the private sector, the state enterprise sector and in certain statutory bodies. A Union or an Employer may make a report of a dispute in writing, to the Minister of Labour and Small and Micro Enterprise Development.

The Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development compiles data on the various aspects of the labour market on a continuous basis. The Ministry compiles occupational data, industry data and demographic data, as well as data on education levels (required for and existing in various positions) and salary ranges. Daily Rated Employment
All municipal corporations offer employment to members of the public on a daily-paid basis. To be considered for employment by a municipal corporation, applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 65. Additional information on employment opportunities can be obtained from the Labour Unit at the municipal corporation.
