Fishing Centre Locations and Services
Fishing Centre Locations and Services. Fishing centres are located throughout Trinidad and Tobago. Please contact the head office of the Fisheries Division to obtain the location and operating hours for each centre.
Services for Fisher-Folk
Services for Fisher-Folk. Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries offers a variety of programmes and services designed to support fisher-folk and promote the fishing industry in Trinidad and Tobago. A letter of recommendation from the Fisheries Division will be sent to the Ministry of Trade and Industry recommending the applicant for a Minister's license upon receipt of all valid documents.
Training for Fisher-folk
Training for Fisher-folk. The Caribbean Fisheries Training and Development Institute provides training for personnel involved in the fishing industry and the merchant marine sector. Seafood Processing Technology training is also offered.
Fishing Industry Incentives
The Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries provides incentive programmes for individuals and businesses involved in the fishing industry. Incentive claims can be made for the purchase of any of the following items:.
