Horticultural Services
The Ministry of Public Utilities provides a range of horticultural services to individuals and organisations as part of an ongoing effort to maintain and beautify the environment. These services include the propagation and sale of quality plants and plant material, indoor and outdoor landscaping and the management of trees on state lands. Members of the public can purchase plants and plant material for ornamental, medicinal or scientific purposes from:.
Plants, Seeds and Planting Material For Sale
Plants, Seeds and Planting Material For Sale. Members of the farming community and the general public can purchase plants (ornamental and orchard), seeds, seedlings and a variety of planting material at a reduced price from nurseries run by the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries. Agricultural materials can be purchased from the locations listed below, which are open to the public 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
Home Gardening Assistance
The Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries seeks to reintroduce the concept of home gardening to communities throughout Trinidad. Persons interested in obtaining a Grow Box can apply online by following the link at the end of this section or apply by telephone by calling the Regional Administration North office at (868) 663-3531/4774.
