Hong Kong Second-hand Exchange
Like other developed cities, the amount of waste in Hong Kong is increasing as society grows. Currently, about 5 million metric tons of waste are disposed of at landfills each year. The continued increase in waste volume means that landfills are saturated faster than expected. However, many of the items disposed of at landfills are not waste. A large number of discarded consumer goods can be recycled. They will be disposed of at landfills because of the lack of channels and other outlets. The purpose of setting up the Hong Kong Second-hand Goods Trading Platform is to reduce the amount of waste that needs to be disposed of at landfills by promoting the sale of recyclable products. After registering as a member, you can include information on the purchase or donation of second-hand items in the "Items Provided" and "Item Solicitation" sections of the platform .
